Yes. Yes, they do. See video below

All of the chimpanzees at CSNW enjoy gum as an occasional treat. Foxie is particularly enthusiastic with her gum chewing.

That is so fun to see. Way to go Foxie!! Thanks Diana.
That is so cute. So, do they spit it out after the flavor is gone?
Thx Diana, that’s so cute!! Beware though…………………you’re probably going to get bombarded with a million packs of gum now!!
Yes, and do they have special flavors that they prefer?
What a wonderful treat! Who woulda thunk? It’s so wonderful to see them finally get some FUN in their lives!
It’s been my experience that there are no “special flavors” where gum is concerned, but please make sure it’s sugar free…………..
Could there be anything better? Hanging out with a friend in the sunshine chomping on your gum. 🙂
I had no idea they liked gum!! They are so human like. I am so glad to see them happy.
God, I love these chimps! They bring a smile to my face no matter what kind of day I am having. Thanks, guys! Now I want to see my Foxie girl blow bubbles….LOL!
Soooo funny!! I just popped a piece of gum in my mouth as I was getting to this site! Theresa, they make my day too. I always try to log on and see what they’re up to before I go to bed at night. I’m so grateful that these “Gum Snapping Seven” are being so well taken care of. Thank you all!
