Fun with trolls

I was thinking today about how incredibly playful Foxie is. She is the most playful adult chimpanzee I have ever known. She doesn’t seem to have non-playful days, ever. When she’s not playing with Jamie, Jody, Missy or Burrito, she play games of catch-the-troll with her caregivers. And if we’re busy? Well, she just invents her own troll games, like this one this morning…

LOL – have you given the chimps drums (and drumsticks)? And demonstrated how to play them? I think Foxie liked the new noise as much as anything …

On the other hand, maybe you have very intentionally NOT given the chimps drums. 🙂

I love it! I think she likes the noise it makes when she hits the bucket and the troll rattles. I loved the head in the bucket at the end too! Thanks Diana for a monday laugh. Foxie is truly a kid at heart. After being deprived of fun for so long I enjoy watching her make up for lost time.

Oh Diana, That was a belly laugh video. Thank you. Foxie is so much fun to watch. I want to know what happened after she put her head in the bucket? The second time through I noticed she could see the troll moving when Foxie hit the bucket. Noise and action! What a combination!

When the chimps are in the front rooms and we are cleaning the day rooms we often hear the “troll in the bowl” game but we don’t usually get to see it.

    Thank you for the visual.

Sometimes I really wish I had opposable toes!

If you want another good laugh, go to youtube and search “chimp eden blooper.”

Looks like Foxie is definitely a musician, adept at using troll dolls to make percussion instruments. I remember when she was rhythmically banging on a troll doll with a wooden spoon.

I feel sorry for the troll. That looks like it had to hurt.
