For those who live in the Seattle area, Jeani is organizing another enrichment party to put together fun stuff for the chimpanzees’ first Easter/Spring celebration. She is thinking of meeting at the end of March. Check out this post for photos of the last enrichment party – talk about kooky!

    Thanks Diana,
We are going to meet March 29 about 2PM. I can let everyone know the exact time when I hear from the church. Items for the enrichment include cereal (non-sweetened), nuts (no peanuts due to allergies at church), dried fruit, colored plastic eggs, baskets, and anything else you can think of. Maybe small paper bags to make some night bags to get ahead of the game. Can’t wait to see everyone.

I hope pictures can be taken again to see everybody’s smiling festive faces, for those of us who cannot make it to the party ..

hey Shelly ~ if you attend and if you have a pair of bunny ears, I hope you wear them! (since you wore the santa hat last time at the Christmas party, keep up the tradition, theme hats!) and if you got an extra pair, maybe you can give them to Margaret to wear!

    have fun everybody!

Please count me in for the enrichment. I volunteer at the sanctuary and am delighted to have an activity on the west side that I can participate in. Please let me know where and what to bring

I am not sure if we will be on the west side that weekend, but even if I can’t make it for the party I want to bring over some goodies for the baskets.
Margaret or Karen… will you be going? If so, I could bring the things to your house to take over with you.
If that doesn’t work, I will be in touch with Jeanie or Cindy to find out what will work best to get things to you.

    Hi Pam,

Margaret will still be in New Zealand so she’s not coming, I don’t know about Karen. I may be coming over to your side this Sun to work at CHCI in Ellensburg so I could possibly pick stuff up. It does depend on the less than dependable weather and whether people sign up for the chimposium on Sunday. My email is [email protected] and we can be in touch. I bet besides stuff you have great ideas too!!!!!

Thanks and we’ll be in touch,
    Cindy

OK everyone it is now official!!! We are meeting at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland on March 29th from 1:30 to 4. The church is located at 124 Ave NE and NE 100th St. The address is 10021 NE 124th St Kirkland, WA 98034. We will be in the Fellowship hall so we can work with peanuts!! We just need to vacuum really well when we are done. I also thought we could use empty toilet rolls and paper towel rolls. If you can email me to let me know what you are bringing or have questions, that would be great. [email protected]
