Our heartfelt thanks to wonderful friend of the sanctuary, Rachel Ruggeri, who has so graciously sponsored our second day of sanctuary in honor of her mom, Kathy Ruggeri!
“I would like to honor my mother, Kathy Ruggeri, on this day ahead of Mother’s Day. My mom is the kindest person I have ever known. Kind, to a fault. She finds joy in caring for others. It doesn’t matter who or what you are, if you need anything, including just a pick me up to your spirit, my mom is the person to fill the order. She laughs easily, loves hard, and makes this difficult world just that much brighter for everyone, including the chimpanzees and bovines at the sanctuary.”
Happiest of birthdays to you, Kathy! We are so happy to celebrate with you and appreciate you sharing your special day with the chimpanzees and bovines.

This is such a lovely tribute to your mother. I am guessing that you Rachel, did not fall far from the tree. I hope you both treasure today together and perhaps pick and enjoy some spring flowers….or eat them if you prefer!!
