Tickle Therapy

It looks like today will be Burrito’s last day on restricted activity. Which is great for him, obviously, but a relief for the staff, too, because we can’t keep up with him. He’s just too playful. Thankfully, Nurse Jody took another shift this afternoon and tried to tickle him back to health.

Earlier in the afternoon, we tried to offer Burrito some lunch. It did not go as planned.

He was convinced that it was playtime, not lunchtime. Soon his onion was a toy and he began laughing to himself.

He tossed his green pepper aside and rolled the onion around the room.

He insisted that I stop serving lunch and join him.

He thought it was the funniest onion ever.

It was!

But then he noticed the lettuce on the table behind me. Lettuce is good.

Maybe even better than playing?

Yup.

Oh, but that onion!

Our thanks go out to all the amazing Produce Patrons that keep Burrito and the gang supplied with delicious food (and, er, toys?). Learn how you can be a Produce Patron here.

I love hearing Burrito and Jody laughing. They just make you laugh while you’re watching. I’m so glad Burrito is getting to go back to his family. It will be such a wonderful video to watch the reunion.

I’m not sure there is anything that warms the heart quite like a healthy, happy, fun, full of tickles and distractions from responsibilities for the staff day as BURRITO HIJINX. Just grand… thank you J.B., Mr. B and Jody!

That wonky-eyed sideways lettuce photo is the bomb! An oops photo that is a true keeper.

As with yesterday’s video post, this is just a joy to watch. I have never heard Burrito laugh as loud or as deeply! I found myself laughing along. I think that this patient has benefited greatly from his session of playface therapy with Nurse Jody.

Your writing and the video and photos combined to make this one of my favorite posts. I love the precious interactions between Jody and Burrito. And that onion…

Wonderful video but the two pictures with the lettuce really cracked me up. Thanks, JB, for starting my boring day off with a good hearty laugh. Such a happy video of the two chimps having so much fun together.

The close-up video of Jody and Burrito playing, and, interacting, was phenomenal. It is the cutest video that I have ever seen! I loved hearing Burrito’s pants of enjoyment! Your description of Burrito’s rolling the onion around, instead of eating it is too funny! Did he eventually eat it? I, too, loved the “wonky-eyed”, sideways glance in the lettuce-eating photo! I love Burrito’s goofy and silly antics! He is very entertaining!
