It’s a cooker today and the chimpanzees on both sides of the building are enjoying their new fans immensely! Many of them have been camped out in front of the fans, building nests, completely relaxed as they doze off with their hair blowing in the breeze. A quintessential summer day. And it wouldn’t be summer without a summer reading list! I found Jamie blissfully relaxed in front of the cool air, clutching several of her choices.

Jamie’s summer reading recommendations:

1) Great Apes

2) The Art of the Boot

3) Jamie’s Salmon Sisters Boot Book (goes without saying – she still hoots daily every time we give it to her)

4) And really, anything with skulls, which Jamie is endlessly fascinated by:

    Hi, Katelyn!
    A bit of a cooker here, too, except that there is a (warm) sea breeze….but poor air quality.
    Skulls, huh? I don’t remember hearing that one before…..but don’t they freak out the, um, tiny, highly reactive one?

    I would love to sit with Jamie as she is thumbing through this magazine and watch her reaction to the different boots. Wonder if she gives a smile to the ones she likes or shakes her head to the ones she doesn’t like. Would love to hang out with her.

    She’s rockin’ the combat boot, hot pink, skulls thing…. You go girl 🙂

      Ha ha ha CeeCee, I was thinking the same thing. In my younger days, Jamie and I would have made great cohorts! While I did don some Betsy Johnson, my boots were Doc Martens. And I still love skulls, Day of the Dead that is. Oh Jamie, I always learn something new about you and you never cease to amaze me.
