Today in memory of Marilyn Goodrich

I sponsored today’s day of sanctuary for the Cle Elum Seven in memory of my mom, Marilyn Goodrich. Today would have been her 65th birthday.

It’s been just over five years since her death, so she missed out on a lot of changes in my life. I know she would have been very proud of my work with the sanctuary, and I’m sure she would have been enamored with her new extended chimpanzee family. I often think about the little stories about the chimps that I would have shared with her. So, in a way, every day is in her honor.

What a beautiful way to honor your mother. She would, indeed, be so proud and full of joy for all that you have done in the past few years, Diana! 🙂

    Cheers,

    Molly (old FS acquaintance)

Diana, She is indeed smiling down on her family and yes! How proud she is of you. The picture you chose to honor your mom is beautiful and says “family”.
Thinking of you on your Mom’s birthday with pride in all you do.

We are thinking of you and your Mom today, Diana. She must have been a wonderful woman…..look at the wonderful daughter she produced. We wish we had known her in person. We love you.

What a wonderful way to honor your Mom. She still watches over you and in every thing that you do. There’s no doubt she’s very proud of you and what you are doing for these beautiful creatures. She was truly blessed when she had you for a daughter.

It is indeed a special way to remember your mother. Everything you have achieved since will also have been in honour of your mother, because whenever you do something who is the first person you always want to tell, yes it’s your mum. So its a fitting tribute and I’m sure she would have been extremely proud of what you have done in every aspect of your life. Keep up the tremendous work that you and all the team do at CSNW.

What a beautiful way to honor a beautiful (I’m sure) woman who created another beautiful woman!

Diana, you are sharing things with her but in a different way than is done here on earth. She is proud of you and happy for you and J.B. I know what it’s like to lose a mother and want to have her here but she is watching over you and the chimps and is with you every single day in your heart and in spirit. Hugs!

    Diana,
What a heartwarming tribute to your mother, and a beautiful gesture to your very special family in Cle Elum. Yet another example of why I am so honored to know you.
    Namaste.
