Where Foxie goes, so goes her doll.

The photos below were taken last week when Foxie’s doll of the day was Dora the Explorer’s blonde friend.

Since her initial interest in troll dolls, she has expanded her collection of favorites to include Dora and friends with the rare but occasional interest in other dolls.
Not all of the interactions she has with dolls are of the affectionate nature – see the video at the bottom of this post.

The one she destroyed was a man doll. I wonder if the doll reminded her of the horror she lived through.
Love the pictures. They are so sweet. I must not have seen that video before – that came as a surprise! Is she more gentle and loving with the girl dolls? Either way I love Foxie:)
I wouldn’t say her gender bias is a rule – she beats up on the girl dolls too 🙂

The scene of Foxie spinning her body while standing on a green haired doll was hilarious!
I do not think that the doll she was beating up on was a male doll. I believe I saw the green wig on the girl doll come off, and finally, all that was left was ahead that looked like a man.
Love those photos of Foxie and Dora’s friend on the twister, especially the first one (graphically very cool!). : )
So sweet to see Foxie cuddling her dolls in the video, but “ouch” to that poor male doll. Man did he take a beating! Looks like a fun way to let out some frustration however!

The Male Doll was dressed in Scrubs like a Doctor. Might he have triggered painful memories?
Good question, Diane! Anything is possible, and we certainly wouldn’t pretend that we know all that goes on inside the minds of the chimps. Foxie is, though being fairly playful even in her destruction of the doll – she is not showing signs of anxiety or real anger. And sometimes volunteers wear scrubs. We all wear gloves cleaning, and also wear masks if we think we are getting sick, and Foxie doesn’t have negative reactions to these things.
Better I suppose that Foxie takes out any frustration on a doll than her family or volunteers.
