Do the ladies let Burrito mate with them? You’ve said in the past that Burrito likes to display and let everyone know he’s the boss, but the ladies don’t really like him.

    he looks so determined!

from what I know, sanctuaries frown upon their residents making babies, as they should.. how awful to have yet another wonderful creature born in captivity & confinement for the rest of their life..
and chimps can live a very long long time..

remember that these guys already existed and were rescued from buckshires windowless basement confined in very small cages for years.. now they are very very lucky to be where they are! hooray!

I just LOVE all of these recent pictures of Missy with the coconut, Jamie with her multiple items, and now Burrito with his socks!! 🙂 I keep thinking about how little they had before, and I’m so glad that now they have many enrichments to make their lives so much happier!!

yes, i wonder the same thing. you say sanctuaries frown on more creatures in captivity, but this is heaven compared to where they have been. And if these gals have had their infants taken away from them, a good way to heal their hearts is to let them have another.

    Just curious about this!

I couldn’t agree more that this is heaven compared to where they’ve been.

and I understand what you’re saying about letting them have another baby to heal their hearts — but that’s why they (Diana, JB, Sarah, Keith & whomever else) are busting their humps everyday to help them heal and alleviate their painful & hellish pasts by catering to them, giving them exemplary care, a variety of nutrition and trying to keep them busy/highly motivated & stimulated with all those toy items, clothes, gifts, food boards & gadgets, etc.. and of course all their love & support (which is evident!)

if one of them (I read that Foxie & Missy had hysterectomies) had a baby, then they have a baby … what can I say …

I’m not speaking for CSNW, so maybe, if they get a chance, maybe they can address this subject and offer their thoughts & beliefs at some point.. we all know that they keep mighty busy..

    can’t wait for those guys
to get some more stimulus: outdoor action! yeeahhh!
