Outside at last

With the crazy weather, the chimps had not been able to go outside for a few days. It’s been sunny three days running now (with more to come!), and we’ve been able to give them a bit of outside time. They go out for brief periods even when it’s cold (but sunny) and windy – you can hear the wind in the video below. They run around, swing, play chase, and grab handfuls of snow to bring back inside.

So lovely. I notice Jamie coming out of the entrance and going straight to her window ledge. Also, what is Foxie holding today? Looks a little more elaborate than a troll? Love to see them always.
They look so happy to be outside!! I’m sure you are all looking forward to nicer weather so they can be outside more often! I am definitely ready for less rain….more sun!!! Thank you for this fun video!!! 🙂
I love this video because not only can you see them running outside and swinging from the overhead bars, but you can really hear them! That’s just one of my very favorite sounds! Thanks so much for taking and posting the video!
Who is that swinging? Burritto?
As to the sounds they make….I just bought my big Goldendoodle a stuffed gorilla toy that has an electronic sound of a gorilla hooting and screaming. Marcus doesn’t like it that much but I give it a squeeze every time I walk by just to hear that sound.
