When I pull up to the sanctuary to volunteer one of the first things I see is one of those barren cages. sometimes I stop and try to imagine what it must have been like for them to spend years in that or a similar cage. It helps remind me to do the best I can to make that day as pleasant as I can for them. When I see them on the hill running and climbing and just playing in a vast space I wonder if they have memories of the cage and the windowless basement. I hope not, I hope they are wondering “How can it get any better then this?”. And then lunch was served……
Oh Denice well put! I had the chance to climb in on of those cages and could only cringe at spending decades in there. I also hope hose memories are long gone. CSNW has gone a long way in making them be a very distant memory.
Buritto is the cutest little boy.. Wonderful to see him enjoying life outside on Youngs Hill.
lovely pictures ! it seems like the 7 have always had the hill cant imagine csnw without it now ! what a wonderful summer its going to be 🙂
