Happy Spring!

Happy first day of Spring! Let’s hope this means warmer weather is on the way soon! It was cold today with even a little bit of snow, so it didn’t feel much like Spring. The chimpanzees didn’t seem to mind though! The three chimpanzees in Willy B’s group were all enjoying interacting with a slinky today.
First, this morning Mave was using it as part of her nest. Honey B is sitting behind her.
Willy B then decided to drag it around the front rooms with it around his ankle!
Honey B also took a turn dragging the slinky around.

Missy is sure ready for Spring with her Al Fresco lunch.
I didn’t realize Spring started today even though I was outside sweeping up the buds that are falling everywhere.
The panels will be off the greenhouses before you know it. Fingers crossed!
I can never get over how healthy all the chimps look, as compared to how some of them looked when they arrived. For a group of oldersters they are certainly so strong, healthy and gorgeous – I’m jealous.
Nobody and I mean nobody has better moves with a slinky than Willy B. I will never forget his early days after his arrival, there was one particular video where he had a slinky on his foot and he was kicking his leg backward and shooting the slinky forward and just having such fun. Seriously, if Willy B still preforms these moves, please caputre them for us again. For now, I’ll get excited about springtime because this means Annie will wear her waistbands and Negra will venture out for her sweet fresh sprigs of grass, and Jamie will demand more patrols and Gator races. And who knows what to expect from the newbies! Can’t wait for the fun to begin. Happy Springtime!!
