Snowy day activities
January 8, 2019 by Elizabeth -
It’s a beautiful, snowy day in Cle Elum, and the chimpanzees are cozying up in the warm playroom. I caught Jamie in the middle of making a nest (and doing some repair work on a wagon) in one of her favorite nesting spots.

I love that pic at the end! Some times, it seems as though Jamie doesn’t like to be watched/filmed. Is it just me?
Definitely not just you, Linda! Jamie will often stop what she’s doing if we “catch” her doing something interesting. 😉
Along the same lines as Linda’s question I was a wee bit curious if Jamie’s three grunts were directed at you Elizabeth, the roving paparazzi! Was it her way of saying “bug off”. (Eeesh, it’s hard being an internet sensation)
I have to admit, when Jamie looks directly at you, you can’t help but feel captivated. She’s beautiful, simply brilliant looking. Thanks Elizabeth for sneaking in this video opportunity. Thank goodness for the free press! : )
I have noticed a bare vertical stripe on the right side of Jamie’s torso. Any idea how that came to be?
I know that Jamie used to pluck her fur out when before she made a home at the CSNW. Does she and
her friends experience seasonal shedding of their fur? I hope that this is not an indication of a health
problem.
