We’ve had our first real snowstorm this week. Here are some scenery shots:

The bench outside of the greenhouse, used for observing the chimpanzees during summer months when the greenhouse panels are removed:

The snow falls off the roof of the greenhouse and creates snow banks that require frequent shoveling:

    Last winter was mild compared to this one! It is beautiful and so interesting that the chimps love to eat snow! I remember the first winter before the greenhouse panels created a cozy retreat for them in the winter, you used to open the door from the night house and they would gather snow from the open outdoor space and take it inside. Wonderful photos!
